Malal revolves around a young UAE couple, who travel to South India for their honeymoon, the film takes us directly into a luscious forest where we get to see the couple in a resort.
The wife finds her new arranged marriage repulsive, emotionless and stagnant. In various scenes the wife imagines her husband in surreal and out of the ordinary situations to liven up her bored state of mind.
Malal is supported by twofour54 by providing full post production services, on set training for three young film makers, airline tickets for the main crew and a finishing grant. Nayla Al Khaja is thrilled for their support and for involving young film makers in the process.
